We are a family, and that is not a marketing line
Family Movers is run and worked by one family in Jacksonville. The person who answers the phone is the person who prices your move, and usually one of the people carrying your sofa down the stairs. There is no call centre in between, and no crew of strangers hired for the morning.
That matters more than it sounds. When the same people quote the job and do the job, nobody has an incentive to under-price the morning and rush the afternoon. We would rather tell you a move needs three movers instead of two than have you watch two tired guys still loading at 8pm.
What you can hold us to
- A written price before we start. You will not get a number on the phone and a different one on the invoice.
- On time, or a phone call. If traffic or a previous job runs long, you hear from us before your start time, not after it.
- The home protected first. Door frames, banisters and floors get covered before a single item goes out.
- Everything wrapped. Blankets and shrink wrap on the furniture, not just on the pieces that look expensive.
- Nothing left in the driveway. Boxes go to the room written on them and beds get rebuilt before we leave.
If something goes wrong
Moving thousands of pounds of furniture through doorways is real work, and on rare days something gets marked. When that happens we tell you on the day rather than hoping you notice next week, and we sort it out. That is the whole reason our name is on the truck.
